CREATING USER ACCOUNTS:
Start – Run – MMC –Click OK – Choose Add/Remove Snap in – select user – Enter Information in dialog box – click – Ok – finish.
CREATING A DOMAIN USER (GLOBAL ACCOUNT):
Start – Program – Administrative tool- Active Directory User & Group – New User – Enter Name – Initials & Other Information – Click Ok.
SETTING LOGON HOURS:
Start – Program – Administrative tool – Active Directory User & Computer – Open User – Click Account – Logon Hours – Change Properties – Click Ok.
SHARING A FOLDER:
Start – program – accessories – my computer – select local disk – click file menu – select folder option right click on xyz folder – properties – sharing – click share this folder option – type the sharing name & comments – click ok.
INSTALLING DNS SERVER SERVICE:
Right click on my computer – properties – network identification – properties – click more – type your assigned – domain.- click ok
LOGON ADMINISTRATOR
Start – setting – control panel – add/remove program – click add/remove windows component – click on networking services – click on detail – select domain name – click ok – wizard will start – click next insert win2000 server cd in drive click ok – click finish.
QUOTA MANAGEMENTS:
Firstly create a user – d:(NTFS portion) properties – quota – enable quota – limit disk space size – quota entries – add – ok.-restart the computer – log on user.
TELNET:
start – setting – control panel – administrator tool – telnet service first select option 3 (display/change registry setting) – option 7 (NTLM);(0,1,2) – value – yes – option – yes – option 0 (exit this menu) – option 4 (select the service) your telnet successful – close the windows – start – run –CMD – telnet – 0 (open) – to – IP address – login – user name – password – display the c:\dir.
MICROSOFT MANAGEMENT CONSOL (CREATE SHORTCUT):
Start – run – MMC – ok – console click – add remove snap in – add local computer – (1)computer management add – finish.(2)select – shortcut option – ok – save as – desktop – name – save
FTP SERVICE:
Start – setting – control panel – add/remove program - add/remove windows component – network service – R ftp – c :\> ftp>o (open) – to – IP address – to – put (transfer file) (give file)
DHCP INSTALLED:
start – setting – control panel – add/remove program – add/remove windows component – networking service – detail – remove all – click DHCP – ok – next- finish- close – administrative tool – select DHCP

HARDWARE PROFILE:
Right click on my computer – properties – hardware – hardware profile – copy 2nd profile – select wait until select hardware profile – 2nd - add hardware device – (my computer – properties – hardware – device manage) – you want to disable or enable - restart select profile.
OFFLINE FOLDER:
Server: open any folder - right click - select sharing option – share this folder – catching – automatic caching for document – ok – apply – ok.
Client: start – explorer – tool – folder option – offline folderR enable offline file – ok.
DFS (DISTRIBUTED FILE SYSTEM)[SHARE FOLDER UNDER ON FOLDER IN ANY COMPUTER]:
Start – programs – administrative tool – DFS – right click – new DFS root – next -create a domain – DFS root – domain name – next – server name – share name – next – finish - root - right click – new DFS link – link name – enter network- Microsoft windows Netware – domain – computer name – file or folder – ok – all add root- right click – new DFS root continue

INSTALL NETWARE CLIENT - (CONNECT TO ANOTHER O/S):
Client – my network places – right click – properties – local area connection – properties – select client – fort Netware – client – install & restart the machine
Server – my network places – right click – properties gateways client for Netware service – this add fort gateway IP address for connect to server
PUBLISHING RESORESS:
Start – program – administrative tool – active directory user & group – right click on domain – new – share folder (name) – click ok – than right click on this folder – in general tab – keyword – set keyword
(for printer ) start – program – setting – printer – add printer than go – administrative tool – active directory user & computer – view – select user group & computer – continue & select – advance – than click computer option (com3)
TERMINAL SERVICE:
Server - start – setting – control panel – add/remove program – add/remove windows component – terminal services – next – to copy file – finish
Client – start – program – terminal services – client – client connection manager – file menu - new connection – add connection name & server name – IP address – enable (log on automatically with this information) – add user name, password & domain name – select server area – enable data compression & cache - next – finish – connect to domain
DELEGATING CONTROL:
Start – run – add/remove snap in – add – active directory user & computer – create a new OU - new windows from here – right click on OU & delegate user add write – right click new task pad view – complete process
Start – run – MMC – console – add/remove snap in – IP security management – add – local coll – finish – ok
IP security module click – 2nd option secure server – double click – all ICMP traffic – edit – ok - edit – any IP address – my IP address – ok . – Command run – see edit refresh policy – user – policy/enforce
ACTIVE DIRECTORY TOOL ADDS:
Insert 2000 server cd into cd-rom – win 2000 – i386 folder – admin pack – on this folder double click – install.
REMOTE ACCESS SERVER (RAS):
Client: start – setting – network dial up connection – made new connection – next – dial up to privet network – next – add ph no. (34) - Next – for all user – next - finish – open connect dial up connection wizard – so dial to server
Server : start – program – administrative tool – routing & remote access – right click server – configuration & enable – select remote access server – next – TCP/IP - next – select from a specifies range – ok – next – radius (mean checked by list server)- no I want to setup server radius now –next – finish – expand (com4 ) – remote access policy – properties – enable grant permission access
TRUST:
Start – program – add trust – domain & trust – add
1) Domain trusted by this domain = another domain
2) Domain that trust this domain = this domain
Right click on domain – properties – trust – add – (only name) (you are trusted than those way password are same) you want add this domain for option than log on to user another domain
[You are trusted than domain you must configure DNS and alternative DNS]
If another web site
Create are folder – add html file share this folder – add – internet server manger – new web site – (first add the one IP address)
[Add the gateway because the change, close of another web site]
WINDOWS 98/INTERNET CONNECTIVITY:
Client configuration: start – setting – control panel – add/remove program – click on internet connection sharing
Modem properties configuration: device manager – properties – modem – properties – connection – advance – than add ATX or AT – than create on dial up connection – right click on dial up connection – properties option - R binary up terminal – windows – after dialing
Another type configuration: open a web site anologx.com option is open in [network] double click. Than open [proxy server] download & install open proxy server file read me & add port no. [6588]
Client configuration: right click on start – explorer – LAN selection - c (disable) automatic detail – click user proxy server – ok
INSTALLING DNS SERVER SERVICES:
Right click on my computer – properties – network identification – properties – click more – type your assigned domain – click ok – ok the appear boxes & restart the computer – log on as administrator – start – program – control panel – click add/remove program – click on add/remove windows component – click networking service – click on detail – select domain name system check box – click ok – wizard become start – next – insert win 2000 CD in drive click ok – after file copied click to finish.
